Dosage
- Adults: Take 3-4 tablets 2 times daily or as recommended by healthcare professional. For best results, these herbs should be taken 2 to 3 days before period is due to start and during days 1 and 2 of the period.
Cautions & Contraindications
- Discontinue use if pregnancy occurs.
- Daily doses of dried ginger in excess of 4 g are contraindicated if taking blood-thinning drugs such as warfarin or aspirin, or those with an increased risk of haemorrhage. Exercise caution with doses below this threshold.
- Use ginger cautiously if gallstones are present or if taking antacids, as it may decrease antacids' effectiveness.
- Contraindicated if taking nifedipine.
- Discontinue use 7 days prior to general anesthesia.
