Vitex agnus-castus may affect hormones and medicines such as oral contraceptives. Contains vitamin B6; stop if tingling, burning or numbness occurs and consult practitioner. Contains zinc which may be dangerous if taken in large amounts or for prolonged periods. Contains iodine; caution with thyroid medication. Contains selenium which is toxic in high doses; daily dose of 150 mcg selenium from supplements should not exceed. Dietary supplements should not replace a balanced diet. Always read the label.
